Dunhill Shell
Dunhill the worlds most famous high-end pipe maker, the standard by which all others are judged. This estate pipe is a very nice Dunhill Shell made I believe in 1976, it will prove to be an excellent value for it’s next owner.
Signature Dunhill sandblast results in a craggy and interesting finish giving this Dunhill a very traditional and sought after look in the pot shape.
This pipe has been gently smoked and has no major issues. Minor issues are:
Some darkening around the rim.
Shallow nomenclature.
To my eye, some ‘weakness’ in the whitespot.
These minor issues do not in my opinion distract from the look and feel of the pipe, and certainly have no effect upon it’s smoking characteristics. This pipe can be a wonderful addition to any collection.
The pipe is perfectly carved, lightweight, and comfortable in the hand and the mouth. The large bowl diameter of the pot shape will offer long and pleasurable smokes to its lucky owner.
Nomenclature: Dunhill Shell Made In England 16 416 with the whitespot located in the stem.
